| Lot description: THESSALY. Larissa. Circa 500-479 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 5.81 g, 3 h). Horse with head lowered, grazing to left; above, fly to left. Rev. ΛΑRΙ-ϞΑΙΟ-Ν Sandal of Jason to left with double-ax above; all within incuse square. BCD Thessaly I 1095 (same dies). HGC 4, 393. An attractive example of the first coinage of Larissa. Good very fine.
