BITHYNIA, Nicomedia. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ Octassarion (33mm, 20.14 g, 1h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Two hexastyle temples, seen from perspective, with three steps and pellet in pediment; between them; column surmounted by statue of Demeter standing left, holding grain ears and long scepter. RPC VII.2 Online 2001; RG –. Brown surfaces, light smoothing, spots of bronze disease, area of fill. VF. Very rare, only one specimen known to RPC. LOT SOLD AS IS, NO RETURNS.
