| Lot description: Brazil Afonso VI Counterstamped 100 Reis ND (1663) AU53 NGC, KM27, LMB-20. Crowned "100" counterstamp (AU Standard) on Portugal João IV 80 Reis from the Porto mint. An incredible grade for this counterstamped type, still wearing original luster that ignites the soft pewter patina. Unsurprisingly the finest specimen at NGC, with the next highest example coming in at the VF tier.
