Lot description: India and others, an important collection of temple tokens, medals and amulets mostly of the Jain, Sikh, Islam and Thai types etc all housed in a dark olive green coin album described throughout; temple token lots include Siva type of ascetic type (modern type in silver see illustration), Buddist hell type; assorted temple tokens portraying various Hindu and other gods including Zoroastrian etc, some in silver, noted Jain sect issues featuring various gods and leaders (illustration of Guru Nanak, Sikh religion founder) up to modern times; noted Buddist types from China and Thailand; India temple tokens based on Akbar square rupees (12, Brotman type I etc, 988 type illustrated); round types based on Delhi Sultan Sher Shah (6, one illustrated) and colonnade mosque types, Brotman Type T of various sizes (29, one illustrated with ring mount for wearing).
