| Lot description: BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 161_ T, upper half of shield transposed, ex-Ponte, ex-Sellschopp (Plate). S-P21; KM-10; Cal-Type 165. 27.54 grams. Squarish flan with nice full cross and shield, bold assayer T, 161 of date visible (probably 1619 by style), attractively toned AXF, somewhat rare as non-salvage, with desirable pedigree. Pedigreed to the Luis R. Ponte Collection and to the Sellschopp Collection (Swiss Bank Corp auction of September 1988, lot 633), plated as coin 405 in Sellschopp's Las acuñaciones de las cecas de Lima, La Plata y Potosí (1971).
