Struck by the authority of the State of Louisiana between its secession from the Union on January 26, 1861, and its admission to the Confederate States on March 21, 1861. Bright, Mint State example with a choice, mark-free obverse. Only a small patch of surface corrosion on the reverse reveals its salvage history. With salvager's certificate and wooden display box.
