| Lot description: MEXICO, Mexico City, gold cob 1 escudo, (1711-13) (J), crosslet cross, NGC AU 58 (1715 Fleet Shipwreck Label). S-M30; KM-51.1; Cal-Type 206; Fr-7c. 3.43 grams. Nearly full but slightly off-center cross and shield on a smallish flan, with sideways I denomination visible to right but no part of the mintmark or assayer to left, a few streaks of light toning, tiny edge-split.
