Lot description: 1989 Brilliant Uncirculated Five Sovereign Piece. commemorating the 500th anniversary of The Sovereign, struck to Brilliant Uncirculated standard. Obverse: a representation of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II sat in King Edward's Chair, as she did at her coronation, along with the legend 'ELIZABETH. II.DEI.GRA.REG.FID.DEF' "U" under throne to designate the BU striking. Reverse: a double rose with a shield of the Royal Arms and Royal Crown superimposed over and surrounded by the legend 'ANNIVERSARY OF THE GOLD SOVEREIGN 1489-1989'.
