Pattern CU Halfpenny. Dies by John Roettier. Undated, bust struck circa 1672. CAROLVS · A · CAROLO, laureate and cuirassed bust left / QVATVOR · MAR IA · VINDICO, Britannia seated left on globe and shield, holding olive branch and spear; BRITANNIA in exergue. Peck 404.
Toned. Trace of lustre on reverse.
In NGC encapsulation 2153856-022, graded MS 62 BN.

At 193.2 grains this gold Farthing is the same weight of the specimen cited by Peck in possession of A.J. West whose collection was dispersed in the mid 1950s with the remainder being purchased by Spink in 1961.
