The Geoffrey Cope Collection of British Coins. Charles II. 1660-1685.
AR Halfcrown (34mm, 14.77 g, 2h). First hammered issue. London mint; im: crown. Struck November 1660-October 1661. Crowned bust left / Coat-of-arms over short cross moline. Bull, Silver 270; ESC 448; North 2759; SCBC 3307.
Fine metal flaw in hair and behind bust. Light cabinet friction on high points.
Much brilliance under deep, old tone. EF. Very rare, especially so in this state.
