Penny, AR 20 mm. 1.39 g., Lincoln mint. Diademed bust l.; EADWEARD REX NGO. Rev. Small cross patee, LEVIG MO LNDCOLNE around. S. 1142. North 763.
Very rare. Old cabinet tone, insignificant edge marks, otherwise good very fine

Edward was the eldest son of Edgar, but was not the acknowledged heir. After great strife he was crowned, but later murdered at Corfe castle.
