Lot description: Historical medals World Medals Olympic Medals Olympic Games, Amsterdam 1928, Gold price medal, by Giuseppe Cassioli (1865-1942), Utrecht mint, gilt silver, Gadoury 1, 55 mm, 68.39 g, edge bump. EF Awarded to the dane Poul Bergenhammer Sørensen (1906-1951) for the team competition in Road Race (cycling). He finished as number 28 in the individual competition. His younger brother was Peder Bergenhammer Sørensen (1914-1944) from the famous Danish WW2-resistance group (Hvidstengruppen). Six of Poul Bergenhammer Sørensen's engraved Danish cycling trophies (5 silver, total weight 734 g, one silverplated) from 1926-1930 incl. Danmarksmesterskabet 1929 are included. Photo of P.B.
