An exquisite, gleaming example of this pleasing Transvaal pattern piece, struck by Messrs. Otto Nolte & Co. in Berlin. Seldom is this illuminating type encountered with so much of its original red patina still intact, presenting as a heavenly olive-amber patina that would be difficult to duplicate.
