| Lot description: Russia Catherine II gold 10 Roubles 1780-CПБ AU Details (Mount Removed, Tooled) NGC, St. Petersburg mint, KM-C79b, Bit-38 (R). Noticeable evidence of mount removal on the obverse and reverse edge at 12 o'clock. The obverse and reverse fields appear to have been tooled, and contact marks are visible on both sides, though the preserved details certainly merit the AU grade. Ex.
