| Lot description: India British India. Victoria gold Mohur 1841-.(c) AU55 NGC, Calcutta mint, KM462.2, S&W-3.11 (Rare). Type B obverse, Type I reverse. Split legend variety, W.W. on truncation, 4 with serif (crosslet 4). A wholesome representative of this highly popular issue sought-after in any grade. A significantly rarer emission compared to the type A obverse, which notably lacks a serif or crosslet in the "4" digit present on our current example. Though the surfaces exhibit wear in-line with the assigned grade, there are no significant detracting marks or abrasions.
