| Lot description: Russia Elizabeth gold "St. Andrew" Ducat 1751-АПРЕЛ AU55 NGC, Red mint, KM-C31.1, Fr-111, Bitkin-39 (R2). 3.46gm. A wholly wondrous and shockingly difficult gold issue of Elizabeth's prolific reign, where the vast majority of these come to market decidedly circulated and often with conditional modifier. On offer is a stunning example of the coveted "St. Andrew" Ducat, teetering on a Mint State preservation, fully struck up and notable lustrous. Elizabeth's diminutive yet detailed bust faces up especially fine, while enveloped in a lemon-gold patina.
