| Lot description: Great Britain George VI gold Proof "Coronation" Medal 1937 PR61 Ultra Cameo NGC, BHM-4314, Eimer-2046a. 57mm. 120.35gm. By P. Metcalfe. Produced to a scant mintage of just 274 pieces of this size in total. Certified as Proof, but there is no distinction to the Specimen designation that the grading agencies use interchangeably for this spectacular, large-format coronation Medal. The broad planchet features delicately crafted and frosted portraits of George and Elizabeth, crowned and showcased against a flashy golden expanse.
