| Lot description: Great Britain George III Proof Pattern Crown ND (1820) PR64 NGC, KM-PnB80, ESC-2055 (prev. 221). Plain edge. By Thomas Webb and George Mills for Mudie. A rare Pattern from the last year of King George III's remarkable reign, presenting one of the most empathetic and delicately crafted portraits of the king. The reverse displays an intricately engraved quartered coat of arms, adorned with emblems of the realm and exhibiting flawless craftsmanship. When in-hand, both faces reveal a striking array of tone that beautifully highlight the detailed engraving.
