| Lot description: Great Britain Edward VII gold 5 Pounds 1902 MS64 NGC, KM807, S-3965, Marsh-F35. Of the original mintage of 35,000, over three quarters were subsequently melted, rendering this near-Gem selection a very lucky survivor. Although admitting scattered wisps and ticks, the overall impression is wholly remarkable owing to the abundance of mint bloom enlivening the fields at the turn of the wrist.
