St. George and the Dragon right, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue for designer Benedetto Pistrucci, edge milled, 39.96g (Schneider 661; Hill F35; S.3965). Once cleaned and polished with nicks and bagmarks in fields, some toning in peripheries, about fine.
Calendar year mintage 34,910.
The Latin legend translated reads "Edward the Seventh by the Grace of the God, King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."
