'Abbasid Caliphate. Al-Muttaqi. AH 329-333 / AD 940-944. AV Yamini Dinar (17.8mm, 1.85 g, 6h). San'a mint. Dated AH 332 (AD 943/4). Bernardi 307El (this date not recorded); Album 1060. Near EF, pin-marks in fields on obverse. Excessively rare, apparently an unpublished date.

Virtually no 'pure 'Abbasid' dinars (i.e. those which name only the caliph, without any other local ruler) were struck in the year AH 332. The only exceptions, both excessively rare, come from the Arabian mints of Baysh and San'a.

'lā ilāha illā / Allāh waḥdahū / lā sharīka lahū' ('There is no deity but Allah, the One, there is no partner to Him' in Arabic); in the inner margin, 'bism Allāh ḍuriba hādhā al-dirham bi Raʾs al-ʿAyn sana thalāth wa thamānīn wa miʾatayn' ('In the name of Allah. This dirham was struck in Raʾs al-ʿAyn in the year 283' in Arabic); in the outer margin, 'li-llāh al-amr min qabl wa min baʿd wa yawmaʾidhin yafraḥu al-muʾminūn bi naṣr Allāh' ('To Allah belongs the command before and after, and on that day the believers will rejoice with the help of Allah' in Arabic; Qurʾān 30: 4-5). Rev. 'lillāh / Muḥammad / rasūl / Allāh / al-Muʿtaḍid billāh' ('To Allah.
