Within a circle, 'Allāh / lā ilāha illā Allāh / Muḥammad rasūl' ('There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah' in Arabic); mint and date formula in the margin. Rev. Within a circle, 'al-Muẓaffar / al-sulṭān al-malik / Shams al-Dīn Yūsuf / ibn ʿUmar' ('The sultan [and] king al-Muzaffar Shams al-Din Yusuf son of ʿUmar' in Arabic); in the margin, citing the ʿAbbasid caliph al-Mustaʿsim billah (AH 640-656 / AD 1242-1258), 'al-imām al-Mustaʿṣim billāh amīr al-muʾminīn' ('Imam al-Mustaʿsim billah, Commander of the Believers' in Arabic).
