| Lot description: JAPAN. Yen, Year 28 (1895). Osaka Mint. Mutsuhito (Meiji). PCGS MS-62. KM-Y-28A.5; JNDA-01-10C; JC-09-10-4. "Gin" countermark in left reverse field. A beautiful Yen exhibiting a first-rate strike and scarcely any evidence of handling. Swirls of amber tone radiate from the lustrous obverse fields, while the reverse in contrast is toned to a soft muted gray. Quite enticing and problem-free. Estimate: $600 - $900 |  |
