One of the RAREST dates in the Chilean series, it has been postulated that less than 10 examples from 1817 produced at the Santiago Mint survive until present. This date was only struck in the early stages of January 1817 before the Royalist government fell. Our first offering of this date, and a piece that should capture much attention.
