CHINA. Yunnan Sanchuo Jieding. Provincial Three Stamp Remittance Ingots. Silver 5.5 Tael Bank Ingot, ND. VERY FINE.
BMC-Class LXVI Group I. Weight: 198.28 gms. "萬寶源記匯號紋銀" (Wanbaoyuan Bank, remittance bank fine silver), "公估量余段看" (Inspected by public assayers Tong, She and Duan) stamped twice. This charming ingot displays rich attractive gray with minor earthen deposits in the protected areas and crevasses. The outer stamps are deeply applied, while the central stamp is somewhat shallow with typical weakness. The assay stamps are decently centered with portions of the inscriptions over the sides, but are easily read. A pleasing and original looking example offering a wholesome appearance.
