Lot description:

Thailand
Rama IV 2 Baht (1/2 Tamlung) ND (1863) MS62 NGC, KM-Y12, Dav-308. A very desirable representative of what is the largest machine-made silver denomination of Rama IV's reign. Displaying a soft pewter and sepia tone with hints of original luster still percolating in the surfaces, particularly on the reverse. Highly valued here, with finer examples becoming increasingly prohibitive to acquire.
