Lot description: Denmark Christian VII, 1766–1808 Christian VII, 1/2 skilling 1771, Altona and Copenhagen, H 38, Sieg 1.1-1.3, FP 1.1-1.3. Excellent collection with 40 diff. pieces struck with 27 pairs of stamps distributed on 24 obverses, including Altona 1771 (2), Copenhagen 1773-75 (6) and Copenhagen 1784 (16). 30 reverses, including Altona 1771 (4), Copenhagen 1773-75 (5) and Copenhagen 1784 (21). Altogether, there are 40 different die links here, many nice ones. Attached are photocopies of die chart based on 774 coins. The study material ultimately included a total of 1,136 coins, where a total of 24 obverse dies and 29 reverse dies were found among the first 239 coins. The 30th reverse die was found after reviewing a total of 549 coins, after which no new dies were found among the remaining 587 coins. Several of the coins have the provenance of Per Lundgren.
