Struck circa 960s-970s. Four parallel vertical lines; double crescent above / Incuse of obverse. Malmer, Nordiska, Group KG 9bc (DIII B2:CEIII C2b; Hauberg 1. Pierced. Very Fine, pinhole perferation. This coin type is known as a half bracteate (halvbrakteat). The flan is so thin that the motive on one side is visible on the other. This type is a crude immitation of the coins of issued by Charlemagne the Great in the important trade city of Dorestad.
