BHM-2536; Eimer-1489. By Messrs Allen & Moore. Diameter: 44mm. Obverse: British and French soldiers stand, facing each other, before a drum, flags, and cannon; Perimeter legend, date in exergue; Reverse: Laurel wreath with bow, six-line legend within. The Anglo-French Alliance was formed in the aftermath of Russia's occupation of the Turkish Danubian Principalities of Moldavia and Wallachia (modern Romania) - signaling the start of the Crimean War. This medal offers reflective fields and frosty devices with a few scattered marks in keeping with the grade. Attractive.
