Lot description:

MEXICO. Durango. War of Independence. 8 Reales, 1813-D RM. Ferdinand VII. PCGS VG-10.
KM-111.2; Cal-1186; Ramirez-D8.3.1. While crudely made and well-circulated, this royalist provisional crown retains much charm and individuality while remaining problem-free. The faintly visible first letter of the assayer's initials allows for its attribution, while deep charcoal tone imparts a lovely rustic look.

Incorrectly cataloged on the holder; this piece is in fact an unlisted variety in Ramirez as it displays a normal date, no missing letter in "IND", and is verifiably of assayer RM.

Ex: Paul Brombal.

Estimate: $200 - $400
