Georgios I, 1863-1913. 2 Drachmai 1911 (Silver, 27 mm, 10.00 g, 6 h), Paris, ESSAI, mule, struck from an obverse die by Georgios Jakobides and a reverse die by Albert-Désiré Barre, reeded edge. ΓΕΩΡΓΙΟΣ Α! ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΣ ΤΩΝ ΕΛΛΗΝΩΝ / 1911 Elderly head of George I to left; below truncation, in tiny letters, Γ. ΙΑΚΩΒΙΔΗΣ; below, flanking the date, privy marks cornucopia (for the Mint Director) and torch (for the Engraver General, Henri-Auguste Patey, 1896-1930). Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ Crowned and mantled shield bearing the coat of arms of the kingdom of Greece; below, • 2 ΔΡΑΧΜΑΙ•; in tiny letters on the lower right field, ESSAI. Karamitsos T.76, KM E23.
