Following the Revolution of 1843, Greece underwent a number of constitutional changes in 1844. This transformative event prompted an alteration to the name of the kingdom as it appeared on coins, changing from ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΑ to ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ. It is noteworthy that during this transitional period the 10 Lepta denomination circulated with inscriptions reflecting both linguistic formulations.
