'Levon, King of the Armenians' (in Armenian) Levon III on horseback riding right, head facing, holding cruciform scepter and reins; in field to left, three pellets. Rev. 'Struck in the city of Sis' (in Armenian) Lion advancing right,raising his left paw; behind him, patriarchal cross. AC 419. CCA 1734. Some doubling and with scratches, otherwise, very fine.
