'lā ilāha illā / Allāh waḥdahū / lā sharīka lahū' ('There is no deity but Allah, the One, there is no partner to Him. The East' in Arabic); in the margin, 'bism Allāh ḍuriba hādhā al-dirham bi madīnat Naysābūr sana sabʿ wa tisʿīn wa miʾa' ('In the name of Allah. This dirham was struck in the city of Naysabur in the year 197' in Arabic); citing the Caliph's personal name ʿAbd Allāh in Arabic at 6 o'clock in outer margin. Rev. Citing vizier [al-Fadl] Dhu'l-Riyasatayn, 'li-llāh / Muḥammad / rasūl / Allāh / Dhu'l-Riyāsatayn' ('To Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Dhu'l-Riyasatayn' in Arabic); in the margin, 'Muḥammad rasūl Allāh arsalahū bi al-hudā wa dīn al-ḥaqq liyuẓhirahū ʿalā al-dīn kullih wa law kariha al-mushrikūn' ('Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.
