Jessopp Facsimile Signature Label. Brilliant Proof (NGC). 39.94 g of .9167 Fine Gold. 38.61mm. Maximum Mintage 550. This is a stunning incarnation of the traditional £5 "crown" struck to celebrate the first ever Platinum Jubilee of a British Monarch. The obverse depicts a special commemorative portrait of Her Majesty The Queen. The reverse features an elaborate royal mantle design which was inspired by the mantle, or robe, worn by Her Majesty at the coronation in 1953 and also by the designs on the coinage of King William IV. The coin's edge inscription was inspired by Her Majesty's 1952 Christmas message and reads SERVE YOU ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE.
