17th-18th Century Small Silver Coins (7) | Charles II (1660-1685) Maundy Fourpence, 1679, laureate and draped bust right rev. four interlocked cyphers, 2.14g (Spink 3384), cleaned and retoned, about very fine; and, William and Mary (1688-1694), Halfcrown, 1689 PRIMO, first conjoined laureate and draped busts right, rev. first crowned shield, with caul and interior frosted, and pearls, edge lettered downwards, 14.56g, 6h (ESC 503; Bull 826; Spink 3434), removed from a swivel mount with resultant pin holes on edge, damage and cleaning, otherwise fair; and, William III, Solus (1694-1702), Shilling, 1696, first draped bust right, no tie-ends rev. crowned shields cruciform, edge milled, 6.31g, 6h (Spink 3497), double-struck, scratched and scuffed, otherwise lightly toned, a bolder fine / very fine; also, George II (1727-1760) (3), 'Young Head' 'Roses', Sixpence, 1741, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right rev. crowned shield cruciform, roses in angles, 2.96g, 6h (Spink 3708), rubbed and toned, fine; another, LIMA Shilling, 1745, older laureate and draped bust left, lima below, rev. cruciform shields crowned, 5.96g (Spink 3703), cleaned, fine; also, Sixpence, 1758, similar, 5h (ESC 1763; Spink 3711), lightly toned, almost very fine; lastly, George III (1760-1820), Sixpence, 1787, laureate and draped bust right rev. without semee of hearts, 3.00g (Spink 3748), lightly toned, a bolder very fine (7).
