Quartet of Tudor Silver (4) | Edward VI (1547-1553), Second Period, Second Debased Issue, Shilling, 1549 [MDXLIX], Tower, crowned and draped boy King right, rev. garnished oval shield, dividing E-R, 2h, 3.31g, m.m arrow (North 1917; Spink 2466), heavily chipped and scratched across the fields, nevertheless still with pleasing detail to the hair and crown, fine; Mary, sole reign (1553-1558), Groat, 1553-1554, Tower, crowned and draped bust left, rev. square-topped shield over cross fourchée, 6h, 1.95g, m.m pomegranate, (North 1960; Spink 2492), rather gnarled edge and slightly bent, better to parts of the portrait, bolder fine; another, as before, 2h, 1.79g, m.m pomegranate (North 1960; Spink 2492), heavily scratched to portrait, fine, reverse better; finally, as before, 3h, 1.86g, m.m pomegranate (North 1960; Spink 2492), mostly flat and darker staining to the obverse, fine (4).
