Wessex, Edward the Elder (899-924), 'Two Line', Penny, Beornred, + EADVVEARD REX, small cross pattée, rev. BIORN | RED M'O, in two lines divided by three crosses, quatrefoil above upper line, trefoil below lower line, 1.41g (Br. 13; North 649; BNJ Coin Register (1991), no. 130 = EMC 1991.0130 this coin; Spink 1087), slightly rough to edge of flan, marks to centre of obverse, but otherwise toned and lustrous, a good very fine.
