York mint; Leofdegn, moneyer. + EDELRED REX around four cruciform annulets / + LEOFDEςИ around central six-rayed star in annulet. Pirie 174/177-8 (same obv die/rev. type); Pirie, Guide 3.10c-e var. (central designs); North 188; SCBC 866A. Brown patina with earthen green deposits, off center. Good VF. Rare.
