| Lot description: UMAYYAD: Yazid II, 720-724, AR dirham (2.93g), al-Andalus, AH105, A-135, Klat-118, second variation dated AH105, cleaned, EF, R. The first group of al-Andalus 105 retain the Damascus style used on all al-Andalus dirhams dated AH103-104 and some 105. The rest of the al-Andalus 105 dirhams have the Wasit style, which was used on all subsequent Umayyad dirham of the al-Andalus mint. The Damascus style seems to be slightly rarer than the Wasit style for AH105 (Klat did not distinguish between the two varieties). Estimate: 700-1 000 USD Starting price: 550 USD |  |
