KM-377.2; DP-Ca46. Variety with "M" over Inverted M assayer mark. The sole finest graded specimen holdered by PCGS, this exceptional 8 Reales offers rich luster, with strong eye appeal and soft luster throughout. Presenting a clear overassayer mark, with the second "M" in "MM" being over an inverted M. A pleasing piece that will certainly fill the gap in any collector's holdings.

BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1620 (T), king's name as qHILIPPVS in cross-side legend, quadrants of cross transposed, Grade 3, PCGS F details / saltwater damage (Atocha shipwreck). S-P21; KM-10; Cal-930. 22.79 grams. Scarce variety from this wreck with just the last digit of the date visible, followed by large space and then q to beginning the king's name (date and variety not mentioned on tag, certificate, or slab label). Weak but nearly complete shield and nice full (but slightly off-center) cross, with dark, mildly corroded surfaces. With original Fisher certificate 85A-160279. Recovered from: Atocha, sunk in 1622 west of Key West, Florida
