Obverse: Panoramic veduta of Danzig, including fortifications and the Vistula with ships at sail, radiant personification of the sun and rainbow above, and a fenced corn field with hidden weapons in foreground; Reverse: Legend in 17 lines; below, garnished coat-of-arms, with lions as supporters. Despite some tooling and edge marks, this impressive example stands as a VERY RARE and desirable type, with entrancing brilliance residing in the fields. The artistry of the obverse is especially intricate, making this a resounding piece of 17th century medallic art.
