S-1859; N-1446. Weight: 3.81 gms. Rosette-mascle issue. Obverse: Crowned facing bust within tressure of arches; Reverse: Long cross pattée; triple pellets in quarters. An impressive survivor sporting essentially as-struck detail and deep toning throughout. About as nice an example of the type as one could hope for.

Featuring an enchanting and simply wondrous strike, this impressive hammered issue is seemingly without a rival, as it stands along atop the PCGS census.
