| Lot description: GREAT BRITAIN. Penny, ND (1040-42). Lincoln Mint; Walreffen, moneyer. Harthacnut. NGC Unc Details--Peck Marked. S-1169; N-799. Arm and Scepter type (BMC [Cnut] xvii). Weight: 1.09 gms. Obverse: Diademed bust left, holding trefoil-tipped scepter; Reverse: Quadrilateral, with pellet in center and angles, over voided short cross. Despite the noted peck marks, which have resulted in a bit of flan waviness, this example otherwise remains without much in the way of handling, with the devices remaining sharp and the surfaces elegantly toned.
