Henry VIII (1509-1547), Second Coinage, Groat, 1526-1544, Tower, crowned bust right, rev. saltire stops, square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, 2.62g, 12h, m.m. lys (Laker bust D; North 1797; Spink 2337E), slightly clipped, otherwise a pleasantly toned example, soft of strike to fineries of portrait, nevertheless very fine / good very fine, an exciting example of this popular type.
