Danish East Anglia (c. 895-918), "St Edmund Memorial" Coinage, Round Halfpenny, Ipswich [?], Rodbert, + SCVHOI, recumbent S, capital unbarred A at centre, rev. + RODVRT small cross pattée, 0.50g [7.72grns], 6h (PAS LIN-1C4137 = EMC 2022.0028 this coin; SCBI 4, 164 different moneyer; North 485; BMC -; Spink 962), minor rim separation and flan split at 4 o'clock, otherwise gunmetal gray highlights in residually lustrous fields, struck details near extremely fine, extremely rare.
