Early periods I or II, circa 899-910. + EΛDVVEΛRD REX ·, small cross pattée; pellet in second quarter / VVNB/ERHT in two lines; two crosses and pellet between, quatrefoils above and below. CTCE 310; SCBI 9 (Ashmolean), 304-5; BMC 69 (same dies); North 649; SCBC 1087. Deeply toned. EF. Rare.
