Arab-Byzantine, Umayyad Caliphate Æ Fals. "Pseudo-Damascus" mint(?), AD 660-680. Imperial figure standing facing, holding spear over shoulder and bird; KIAXЄ (sic) / Large cursive M; cross flanked by two pellets above, two stars within, traces of inscription(?) to left and right, wavy line and five pellets below. Unpublished in the standard references; for a similar obv., cf. Roma E-111, 1395; for a similar rev., cf. I. Schulze, 'The al-wafā lillāh Coinage: A study of style' in A.
