Group of Four: Australian Active Service Medal 1975 -, - clasp - ICAT; Afghanistan Medal; Australian Defence Medal; NATO Service Medal, - clasp - ISAF. 8540895 J A Palmer on first three medals, the last medal unnamed as issued. Court mounted, the first medal with the incorrect ribbon, spotty toning, otherwise nearly uncirculated.

J.A.Palmer was a member of 16 Air Land Regt. He served in Afghanistan on OP Slipper as Counter Rocket, Artillery and Mortar (CRAM). He was on the first ever Australian contingent of CRAM which had a 100% success rate during his 9 months service with the unit.

British Empire Miniature medals group of 4. (i) the War Medal, (ii) the Defence Medal, (iii) the 1939-45 Star, and (iv) the Order of the British Empire. The Oak Leaf that is sewed on to the ribbon of the War Medal. Very fine. 4 Medals. Miniature medals were meant to be worn by the Officers of the British Indian Army on social occasions with their civilian dress. Presented here is a medal group of the second world war period mounted as worn. Noteworthy it signifies that the wearer of the medal group was 'Mentioned in Dispatches' (MID) for gallant or meritorious action in the face of the enemy on the field of battle. This makes the group rare.
