Group of Eleven: 1939-45 Star; Pacific Star; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45; Philippines Liberation Medal (copy); Netherlands Dutch Commemorative War Cross with copy clasp Oost-Azie - Zuid-Pacific 1942 - 1945; BCOF Association Medal; Foreign Service Commemorative Medal; Combatant Service Medal; For Service Rendered in Radiation Contaminated Areas Medal with clasp for Hiroshima (this loose and stored separately from group); also Australian Service Medal 1945-1975, clasp - Japan. The first two, fourth to sixth, and eighth to tenth medals unnamed, S.9420. R.A.Dew on third medal, R.Dew on seventh medal and R A Dew S9420 on last medal. The first two named medals impressed and the last named medal pantographed. The first ten medals court mounted and the last medal with a pin-back ribbon suspender and the Japan bar present but not fitted, extremely fine - uncirculated.

Navy sweetheart badge, resin covered with pin-back; HMAS Hobart pendant medal in gilt and enamel (39mm), with ring top suspension; Royal Life Saving Society Bronze Medallion named to 'R.A.Dew/6.12.39'; Returned from Active Service badge, reverse numbered N17399; Returned Sailors Soldiers & Airmens Imperial League Australia badge (KC), reverse numbered B34935; Royal Australian Navy 75th Anniversary medal 1911-1986 in gilt with plastic holder; painted box with name R.A.Dew on lid (the box damaged).

Ronald Albert Dew, process worker, born 16Jul1926 at Sydney, NSW; mobilised for service 30Jun1944 at rank of Ord Smn II with home port of Sydney; served with HMAS Cerberus 30Jun to 11Jan1945 and qualified as Ord Smn, HMAS Hobart 12Jan1945 to 02Jul1946 and qualified as Able Smn, HMAS Penguin 03Jul to 09Jul1946, HMAS Rushcutter 10Jul to 12Jul1946; demobilised 12Jul1946. HMAS Hobart covered the landings at Tarakan (April-May1945), Wewak (May1945), Brunei (June1945) and Balikpapan (June-July1945) and on 31Aug1945 joined the Allied fleet in Tokyo Bay for the surrender of Japan.
